New self-induced Zernike filters (adaptive visualizing transparencies) based on the saturable absorption effect are suggested. The transparencies are thin layers made of translucent absorbing substance, and are placed in the focal plane of the receiving lens of a schlieren system. A possibility to create the transparencies having low response time (10^(-4) - 10^(-5) s), which significantly reduces liability of the system to vibrations, is demonstrated. Obtainable images are equal to infinitefringe interference patterns allow getting a quantitative data. Examples of application of the organic dyes transparencies in aerophysic experiments are presented.

The experimental results of high level fluctuation excitation by external Mach’s wave in the boundary layer of delta wing model with blunt leading edges at Mach numbers M = 2, 2.5, 4 are presented. The exitation areas and mass flow
pulsation levels in the conditions of subsonic, sonic and supersonic leading edges have been defined. It was found that the maximum value of the pulsations is 12–15 % and varies only slightly from the flow conditions around of the delta wing.

The results of numerical modeling of transonic streamline of profile with a local pulse energy supply were generalized in terms of criteria analysis for a wide range of parameters. Defined set of criteria allows predicting not only the degree, but the features of the flow transformation. A comparison of the results of the criteria analysis with numerical calculations of transonic streamline (Mach number M? = 0,85) of a symmetrical profile NASA-0012 were performed for energy supply in areas such as narrow and compact form.

Kornilov V. I., Kavun I. N., Popkov A. N. Experience of the Using of Cascade Method for Turbulent Boundary-Layer Control Through Air Blowing

The possibilities of turbulent drag reduction in an incompressible turbulent boundary layer of a flat plate with air blowing through a microperforated surface which consists of sequentially arranged one behind the other self-contained
permeable areas were studied. Mass flow rate of air blowing per unit area Q was increased with increasing distance downstream, but in total was not more than 0.0768 kg/s/m2. A consistent reduction of the local skin friction values along the length of the model, up to 70% at the end of the last active blowing area was shown. The experimental data characterizing the ability to manage a turbulent boundary layer in the ground conditions by passive air overflow generated by the difference between the barometric pressure and the pressure in the wind tunnel test section were obtained.

Volodin O. A., Pavlenko A. N., Pecherkin N. I., Serdyukov V. S. Evaporation and Boiling of the Film of Binary Mixture of Freons on a Vertical Cylinder with Wire Mesh Coating

The paper presents the experimental results on heat transfer in films falling down the vertical cylinder with mesh coating in a wide range of Reynolds’ number (30–270). The mixture of freons R21 and R114 as well as the pure R21 were
used as working liquids. The features of heat transfer in falling liquid films on the surface with wire mesh coating compared with the smooth surface have been revealed. It is shown that the heat transfer coefficient at evaporation on the surface with mesh coating is somewhat higher than on the smooth surface; and the nucleate boiling develops earlier on the surface with such a coating. The influence of the initial mixture composition on the coefficient of heat transfer is negligible at evaporation and boiling of binary mixture of freons with close saturation temperatures.

Kozlov V. V., Grek G. R., Korobeinichev O. P., Litvinenko Yu. A., Shmakov A. G. The Features of Hydrogen Combustion in Round and Plane Microjet in the Transverse Acoustic Field, and Comparison with the Results Propane Combustion

Experimental studies of the hydrogen combustion in the round and plane microjet in cross acoustic field at low Reynolds numbers are presented. The results are compared with the results obtained during the combustion of propane, studied earlier in the same experimental conditions. It is shown that the lifted flame of propane at diffusion combustion in a round microjet, under the influence of a transverse acoustic field, subject to bifurcation. This phenomenon is associated with the development of a sinusoidal oscillation process occurring under the influence of a transverse acoustic field. For the case of hydrogen combustion of plane microjet to lift the flame also failed, but the bifurcation effect is manifested at velocity close to 450 m/s. In this case acoustic disturbances generated by the jet, and a sinusoidal instability is typical for the plane jets.
